MiB HUB: Resilience for parents - balancing stress and resources
Inspiration, information, and an important network for international mothers with small children. Strengthen your resilience and well-being, avoid burnout in a supportive MiB HUB that promotes parental well-being.
According to research, parental burnout is clearly its own phenomenon and separate from, for example, workplace burnout. Through MiB HUB, we want to make a difference, give resilience for parents, help balance stress and resources, prevent burnout and enhance well-being.
The MiB HUB group sessions are held from 6th February until 23rd April 2024, please feel free to join at any time during the program! The tools and the MiB HUB facilitator Anne are available to you during the whole duration of the program. Please note that we will give the participant spots first to the non-Finnish speaking participants (supported by MiB International project), Finnish mothers are also welcome to register. This MiB HUB is supported by MiB International Project and its' STEA funding.
So, we do what MiB does best:
In the HUB, consisting of 6 facilitated group discussions online which you can join at any time during the program, tools for self-reflection, and 2 webinars by experts, we connect with international mothers in Finland, share experiences and present best practices to balance stress and resources in parenthood.
You will get important peer support and information based on research. You will receive tools to improve your awareness of your own identity, the impact of your actions and the effects of your mindset.
Even challenging situations are overcome with positive social networks, awareness of strengths and by increasing the feeling of control in a situation.
This is what MiB HUB is all about: a solution-oriented program from February to April 2024 with 6 group discussions approximately every other week online, helping international moms gather together around relevant topics specially curated to effectively enhance well-being in a hectic life situation. Save your seat and register to the MiB HUB!
In addition to online group discussion sessions, you will get tools and information based on research to help you be more aware of your own resources and to deploy them for your own benefit.

Program for the HUB:
The MiB HUB: Resilience for parents - balancing stress and resources is a great way for international moms in Finland to boost their and their family’s well-being, with a low-threshold. That is why all meetings of the program are online so that you can attend wherever you are, no matter how your day (or night) has been.
The program includes 6 group discussion sessions which are 1,5-hour Zoom-meetings approximately every other week with an informative agenda combined with valuable group discussions. After each meeting, a summary of the meeting will be sent to participants so you will get the necessary information on resources for your well-being even when life happens and you are unable to attend to one of the online meetings.
Online group meetings are held between February and April 2024 and the topics of the meetings encourage you to get to know your strengths better, to get new ideas in a solution-oriented setting and simply to help you increase routines that promote your well-being. The themes of the group meetings and the content of the group discussions are curated according to the needs of the participants, which is why we are very thankful for your feedback along the way. At the end of the program in April 2024, the effectiveness of the program will be evaluated through a second self-assessment that will be sent to all participants. All self-assessments and feedback are treated anonymously.
